This small, rugged communicator keeps field teams in contact when they are far beyond mobile coverage. It sends and receives messages over a global low-earth-orbit satellite network, and its SOS button connects to a 24/7 emergency response centre.
A 1.9-inch colour touchscreen with an on-screen keyboard means it can be used on its own, without a phone. A built-in speaker and microphone add 30-second voice messages, and photos can be sent too.
