The TG501 is a compact cellular remote terminal unit for monitoring and control at remote sites. It reads 4-20 mA sensors, switches and pulse meters, stores data when the signal is lost and sends it over 4G.
At a glance
- 4G LTE / 3G / 2G, or LTE-M / NB-IoT versions
- 1 RS485, 2 RS232 (1 for debug), 3 analogue inputs (4-20 mA or 0-5 V), 2 digital inputs, 1 pulse input
- 2 relays (option), 1 power input and 1 power output, GNSS option
- 16 MB local data storage
- Low-power sleep mode (option, 1 mA) and SMS alarm (option)
- Wall or DIN-rail mounting
Where it is used in Malaysia
- Water level and flow monitoring with 4-20 mA sensors
- Pump stations, tanks and boreholes
- Solar-powered remote sites using sleep mode
- Pulse-output water and energy meters
- Alarm reporting by SMS from unmanned sites
How it works
The RTU measures its analogue, digital and pulse inputs, can switch a relay, and sends readings and alarms over the mobile network. If the network drops, readings are kept in the 16 MB memory and sent later. Sleep mode lets battery or solar sites run at very low power.
